Mentors
Mentors must be at least 21 years of age and be able to meet with mentees once a week for one hour online. Mentorship will begin online and mentors can decide to meet mentees in person with parent and program approval. To become a mentor the following steps will need to be completed
- Complete online mentor application HERE
- Respond to email notification about upcoming onboarding (this will be held online)
- Complete online onboarding
- Program Administrators will complete sex offenders BG check
- Once BG check is successfully completed mentor will be notified
- Mentor will be added to waitlist to be paired with mentee and received mentor handbook to review (PDF handbook)
- Mentor will receive link to download BBRB application
- Once paired with mentee- mentor will provide availability and confirm selected with mentee and mentees parent (this will be administered by program administrators). Mentor will have the option to change availability if needed but it must be coordinated with menteeās parent to be approved.
- After pairing mentor with mentee, mentor will speak with mentees parent before meeting with mentee online. This conversation will be held via phone.
- Mentor will then be notified about their first mentor meeting with Zoom link for mentor and mentee.
- Mentor will complete mentor report monthly.
